A day late

So I missed another blog yesterday, but give a guy a break because I was celebrating 11 years of marriage with my lovely wife. In honor of her and our 11 years of marriage I will share 11 things I love about her now, that I did not know then. (This is one of those blogs that is not about you the reader, it's about me. My apologies in advance.)

1. She is hands down the best mother my daughters could ever ask for.
2. She has more empathy for others than I could ever hope to obtain. She has shown me how to put your head and your heart in another shoes so well, so many times.
3. She has this weird sense of knowing when I am headed for trouble and is not afraid to warn me. She probably had this back while we were courting, but I am sure I had not made myself available for critique.
4. She knows how to keep me healthy, from buying, cooking and feeding me the right foods to encouraging me to read, run, or rest when I am too busy to see my needs myself.
5. She loves God more than me... Now maybe I knew this before, but I probably did not let myself see it.
6. It took making her my wife and lover, to fully understand how great of a best friend she really is.
7. One of her greatest joys is that she has made herself dependent on me while keeping my needs above hers. In the beginning she did not need me, but that is the crazy thing about love, you become needy as a individual so you can become whole as a couple. Man I think their is a faith lesson there somewhere.
8. She makes beautiful, healthy babies, who grow up to be daddy's girls. Hardly seems fair, but none the less I love it.
9. She has held true to our wedding vows to love me no matter what. Back then I naively hoped she would, these days I have a lot of data to conclude she will.
10. She is wise beyond her experience. I always knew she was quicker at the art of learning then me, college test scores proved that, but living life with her has helped me appreciate the wisdom that only God can give, if you only allow yourself to submit to his teaching.
11. If I am honest she has more influence over my attitude and contentment than I do over it myself.

I love you babe.
